Marvel vs DC films, which is better? Part 2

  In my first part I covered every Marvel series so on to DC studios. I am going to say this now that DC automatically looses 5 points becuase of the lack of films.

DC Studios 

The Batman Series 

Batman Begins (2005)                                                                                                                                             So after the failure of Batman and Robin D.C decided to reboot the batman franchise with Batman Begins. This revamped batman was loved by both critics and audiences alike. I also thought it was genuise becuase of the fantastic direction of Christopher Nolan and the fantastic acting by the whole cast including Christian Bale as the dark crusader. Financially the film grossed 205 million dollars on a budget of 150 million dollars. So overall the new Batman film was a big successes for D.C.

The Dark Knight (2008)                                                                                                                                            After the obvious success of the first modern era Batman film DC decided to green light sequel keeping the same core of creators together. The result is not only the best super hero film but one of the best films ever made. The film is one of the highest rated films for both critics and audiences. The film showed how great Christopher Nolan is and that he is a force to be recking with. Financially the film did outstanding grossing 533 million dollars on a budget of 185 million dollars so another huge hit for DC

 In total the new Batman films are the hilight of the decade. I give them a 10

Batman Series:10

Superman Returns (2006)                                                                                                                                       So after the they resurrected the Batman franchise they try now with Superman in Superman Returns. This attempt is overall very mixed with alot of critics having different opinions on the film. I think it was a good film but very flawed to say the least. It was way too long and the villain was some what weak but it was still a very fun summer film. Financially the film made 200 million dollars with a budget of 270 million dollars. The reason the budget is high is becuase of the many attempts at resurrecting Superman. If I were to rate it I would give it a 6.

Superman Returns:6

Watchmen (2009)                                                                                                                                                     With many graphic novels being made into films why not Watchmen? Well this attempt at Watchmen was overall very mixed by critics and audiences alike by I really enjoyed it. I liked all of the characters and the film portrayed its themes with absoulty fantastic cinematography and direction by Zach Snyder. Financially the film did okay grossing 107 million dollars on  a budget of 130 million dollars. So that is not good but not great. The rating I would give Watchmen is a 7.
